# Fees and Transaction Costs

### Astar Fi fees

Astar Fi currently charges no subscription fee or additional platform transaction fee.

Future versions may introduce plans or fees. Any Astar Fi fee will be disclosed before it takes effect and, where relevant, before you confirm a transaction.

Network fees, protocol fees, product fees, execution costs, and other third-party charges may still apply.

### Network gas

Most onchain transactions require network gas. Gas is paid to the blockchain network, not to Astar Fi.

The amount can change with network demand, transaction complexity, and contract behavior. Token approvals and failed transactions may also consume gas.

### Slippage and price impact

Slippage is the difference between the quoted result and the result available when a transaction executes.

Price impact is the effect your transaction size has on the available market price. Larger transactions or markets with limited liquidity can produce greater price impact.

A transaction may fail if the available execution falls outside your selected Slippage Tolerance.

### Routes and liquidity

A quote may include liquidity-provider fees, spreads, routing costs, and price impact.

Available routes, prices, and expected outputs can change between the time a quote is shown and the time you approve the transaction. A route may also become unavailable before confirmation.

### Protocol and product fees

Third-party protocols and products may charge supply, withdrawal, management, performance, redemption, or other fees.

These fees are set by the relevant provider and can change. Astar Fi displays available fee information but does not control third-party fee structures.

### Token approvals

Some transactions require a token approval before the main action can proceed.

Before approving, review the token, spender, approval amount, and network shown in your wallet. An approval gives the specified contract permission to use the approved token amount. It does not guarantee that the main transaction will complete.

### Before you confirm

Review the final transaction details in your wallet. Check the network, asset, amount, recipient or contract, approval scope, estimated gas, route, Slippage Tolerance, expected output, and applicable third-party fees.

Your wallet confirmation is the final authorization step. Astar Fi cannot reverse a confirmed onchain transaction or refund gas paid to the network.
